HOW TO RECOVER FROM CYBERBULLYING ?



Cyber bullying is not a joke. This could lead to anxiety and depression that can cause suicidal thoughts. Cyber bullying is like a virus, it is not impossible to have it and it’s either you’ll die from it or you will cure it. If the person reading this is someone who are still looking for ways how to cure it, keep reading. If you are someone who survived and recovered with the help of this blog, good job! You did well. So here are the few step that can help you recover from cyber bullying:


1. Don’t blame yourself

It’s not the victim’s fault to be cyber bullied. Always remember that no matter what the bully will say, never be ashamed of who you are.

2. Be patient for yourself

It takes time to heal a wound. Just like you, you need to have your patience to heal yourself. It’s okay not to be okay for a while.

3. Don’t use technologies for a while

Technology became the site where the bullying happen. Time changes the flow of the internet, as time pass by they will forget about it, give yourself a break and find your strength again.

4. Focus on strengthening your self worth

Talk to yourself positively. Remember your value to your family, friends or other people around you. Take note of the good thing that people keep telling you and remind yourself to be positive and hopeful.

5. Do something that relax you

Find a hobby that you actually like so that you could spend your spare time and make yourself busy so you won’t feel the pain you got from being bullied. Aside from that, this could be the way on getting to know yourself better.

6. Keep in touch with the people around you during the cyber attack

It’s not easy to open up to someone about what happen. If you are not cool with it, stay with those people who were with you during your down times so that you won’t feel alone. It can be your family, friends and etc. These people loves you and be able to boost your self-esteem again.

7. Forgive and forget

The only solution to the heavy heart is to forgive those people who hurt you so you will be able to forget about what happen. There will be no anger, heavy heart and etc that could hold you back from becoming well.


It is only few from the steps that you can do to help you recover from cyber bullying. However, always remember that there are people who will be in your side during the dark times. Don’t close yourself from meeting new people because not everyone will hurt you. Let them be part of your healing process.
